History Is Moving To Utopia
The Lessons of History
After a lifetime of study the historians Will and Ariel Durant wrote a book called The Lessons of History. They come to some very wrong conclusions about God and the direction of history. They say, "Does history support a belief in God? If by God we mean not the creative vitality of nature but a supreme being intelligent and benevolent, the answer must be a reluctant negative". They conclude that "If history supports any theology this would be ... dualism ... a good spirit and an evil spirit battling for control of the universe and mens souls." They say Christianity assures its "followers that the good spirit would win in the end". But the Durants say that may not happen because "the universe has no prejudice in favor of Christ or against Genghis Khan". We have learned in the Divine Principle that this view is what Satan wants us to believe. That there is no hope for an ideal world and we are doomed to an eternity of war. But God exists. He will never give up. Most people including Christians really dont know who God is. God is imagined as sitting on a glorious throne enjoying life. In the Bible we read of Gods sorrow and frustration over mankind (Gen.6:6, I Sam. 15:11, Isa. 1:2-4).
The truth is that God agonizes over our situation day and night, year after year, century after century. He is determined to win back this world and He will. Each of us has a nature to complete what we finish. How much more God has to finish his work. God has stated his determination in the Bible: "I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed and I will do it" (Isa. 46:11). The history of mankind has been a battle between God and Satan. God will ultimately win. History will ultimately favor Christ, not Genghis Khan or Communism or any other evil. The universe is not going to continue to be a dualistic nightmare. The dawn of a new age is rising. Jesus spoke of a mustard seed that grew to a great tree. God has planted his mustard seed in the second Messiah and it has taken root. And someday soon everyone will see it as it grows.
In his "monumental Study of History ... he predicted the development of a universal religion combining the best in Western and Eastern tradtions and leading to the founding of a new order." He wrote that if a person looks at history it looks like "'a tale told by an idiot, signifying nothing.' But this apparently senseless 'sound and fury' acquires spiritual meaning when Man catches in History a glimse of the operation of the One True God." Mankind has two ways to go, he said, and he is optimistic mankind will choose unity: "... the notion of an indefinite continuance of the present state of religious parochialism becomes absurd. Either the various churches and religions will snarl each other out of existence until no more is left of any of them ... or else a unified human race will find salvation in a religious unity." Mankind will someday get a "new form of international association which will bring parochial sovereignty under the discipline of a higher law."
Religious unity will come because of the power of the Divine Principle. President Dwight Eisenhower concluded an address on the State of the Union with the prophecy that "humanity shall one day achieve the unity of freedom to which all men have aspired from the dawn of time." That day has dawned with the coming of Sun Myung Moon who brings a new truth. I hope you are open to the revelations God has given Rev. Moon. I hope you can stop the merry-go-round of Satan and not repeat the mistakes of those of the past who failed to see God's new truth. Truth always seems radical to fallen man because it is logical and normal. This world is illogical and abnormal. But it's all we know. Just as we all now know that the earth is round, everyone will eventually look upon Rev. Moon as their teacher and guide to the building of the ideal world.
At ICUS in 1983 Rev. Moon said, "Therefore a new religion must emerge, that can explain clearly and accurately the unique, absolute God, and its teachings ... have the power to engender total spiritual awakening to all men of conscience and intellect. This effect is so powerful, that in certain quarters critics even blame the Church of brainwashing." That new religion is the Divine Principle taught by the Unification movement.
Hollywood
Several popular films by Hollywood that show an ideal community are the 1930s Frank Capra classic, Lost Horizon. The author invented a word for his little utopia in the mountains of Tibet -- Shangri-La.
A recent film showed a harmonious, back to the land, utopian community tucked away in an isolated planet that must be saved by the crew in the popular movie, Star Trek: Insurrection. On the left is a picture of this community.
John Lennon touched the hearts of many with his song, Imagine. He is right in saying there will be no religion in an ideal world. Rev. Moon often explains that religion is a means to an end. In the ideal world all mankind will be spiritually open and each person will speak to God directly and clearly. There will be no churches and no theology.

Extreme or normal?
The following chapters focus on ten areas of life that must be done correctly if mankind is to live fully. Because Satan rules this world, every one of them will seem, as critics love to say, "extreme." They aren't. It used to be an "extreme" view that the world is round. Someday, everyone will embrace this teachings. In fact, the Founding Fathers, would have no problem with anything I write. Satan is real. Jesus was right when he said Satan rules and everyone is of the devil. All mankind is in a fog intellectually and morally. Satan has made any belief in him to seem "extreme." I hope you can see the logic of what I write and not buy Satan's idea of what is logical and true.
Founding Fathers
I feel absolutely confident that Rev. Moon would agree with what I write and if he had the chance to read and study what I write, he would tell every person to organize their life as I write. Let's start off with the most controversial topic on earth. It is the aspect of life that socialists and feminists are most passionate about. They had the ideology of the patriarchy that is taught in the Bible and was lived by the Founding Fathers. If they could come back and speak to us, the first thing they would say is that the America and the world must restore order to the home.
